Our budding relationship with Nigeria started with the initiatives with Prof Babatunde Opabola leading some Nigerian officers on a visit to SAINS in Kuching on 29th Jan 2009.
After the visit, a reciprocal visit to Akure was arranged from an invitation by the new Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko, through the SITDEC new chairman, Cyril Olutayo Egunlayi.
The SAINS delegation consisted of Mr Teo Tien Hiong, Teo Loon Tong, Anderson Tiong, Grant Than and Chin Koon Siang.
The visit was planned for arriving in Lagos, Nigeria Saturday 4th July and leaving on Friday 10th July 2009.
